The world population is approaching stability, despite past pessimism that people would ruin themselves through uncontrolled population growth. The changes will create tremendous opportunities if addressed appropriately.

For reasons explained in that blog, we can overcome the very real issues with the environment, resources, and people through knowledge and innovation.

Fossil Fuel Free by 2060
Trends are converging that can remove the world’s dependence on fossil fuels. We can thus relieve the world of atmospheric CO2 increase, anthropogenic climate changes, wars and wastes of lives and money on the armaments industry, and rulers who neglect their citizens because revenue comes from fossil fuel, not citizens’ taxes (1).
Climate Change: Natural and Human
Climate change has always occurred naturally, and now is compounded by human causes as well. The climate change caused by people will probably be hotter and so more harmful than natural climate change; natural climate change, on the other hand, would likely be more spectacular because glaciers would return and sea levels would recede. We need to stop or slow human-induced climate change while simultaneously preparing for inevitable changes. �
